This is an area to describe the details of the event. Or you could have any information in here really, it just doesn't matter all that much. But the real test of an area like this is how much text it can actually hold. I mean, surely there must be limits. Right? Well if there are we sould probably display a Link Style.

Vestry Nominees 2017

Susan Barber

Susan grew up in the area and left in 1996 to attend The College of William & Mary. After graduating she moved to Arlington, Virginia for two years before moving back to the area in 2002 to attend The University of Pennsylvania. Upon completion of her Master’s program, Susan spent a year as a professional counselor, two years as a school guidance counselor, and the past ten years teaching Family & Consumer Science, formerly known as Home Economics. It was a random path and she feels lucky that God lead her to a career that’s so insanely fun!

Susan and her husband Josh joined St. David’s in 2008. Since joining the church, Susan has served on the Discipleship Commission, created MATCH, helped promote both the Advent and Lenten Giving Drives coordinated by the Outreach Commission, volunteered at past fairs, written several pieces for the Lenten Devotional Booklet and The Dove, serves on the Fellowship Commission, co-leads the 20s, 30s, and Beyond group, serves as a chalice bearer and lay reader, serves on the Altar Guild, and has attended many women’s ministry events where she cherishes the relationships she’s formed with other women in the church. Her favorite part about St. David’s is listening to her two oldest children sing in Primary Choir. She looks forward to the opportunity to serve on Vestry and give back more to a church that has given her so much!

Susan lives in Bryn Mawr with her husband, Josh, and their three children Jace, Ella, and Wren. Susan and Josh are expecting a fourth child, a girl, in the Fall. Susan could not possibly donate a minute of her time to the church if it weren’t for the support of her husband, who cares for the kids while she’s volunteering. For that she’d like to publicly thank him.
