This is an area to describe the details of the event. Or you could have any information in here really, it just doesn't matter all that much. But the real test of an area like this is how much text it can actually hold. I mean, surely there must be limits. Right? Well if there are we sould probably display a Link Style.

                                                  Vestry Elections

Vestry Elections will be held on Sunday, May 6, 2018 during the
Annual Meeting (10:30am in the Chapel).

Part of the work of the Annual Meeting on Sunday, May 6th at 10:30am is the election of new Vestry to organize and lead our mission & ministry. This year, we are using a slate of nominees developed by the Nominating Committee.

If you are feeling called to serve on Vestry, or would like to nominate someone, please be in touch with our Secretary, Susan Scauzzo at 610-687-0626, or our Rector’s Warden, Geoff Chamberlain at 610-293-9577. The slate will be presented for the three open positions, and there will be an opportunity to add additional names as well.

Thank You to Our 2014-2018 Vestry!

Thank you to the following Vestry members who will be stepping down this year. We appreciate all of your hard work in making St. David's the best that it could be!

Rod Kellett

Rod was welcomed into the ministries of St. David’s in 2002. It was through the church where Rod became re-acquainted with a childhood friend whom he married two years later. Rod grew up in Villanova and attended the Church of the Redeemer.

Since joining St. David’s, Rod has been active as a lay reader. For several years, Rod was a member of the Property Commission where he helped with the long term planning for the church’s grounds, led the annual Church Workday and managed the construction of the church’s new shed. He also taught Sunday school.

Rod attended Lynchburg College, earning a degree in Communications. After a career in Human Resources and Executive Recruitment, Rod left the corporate life to follow his calling of becoming a teacher. He earned his Masters in Multicultural Education from Eastern University in 2012. Rod is currently a 4th Grade teacher at the Shipley School where he has also coached the Varsity Golf and JV squash teams.

Rod and his wife Whitney live in Radnor and have four children; Cynthia, Matthew, Taylor, and Abby. Cynthia and Matthew attend Hobart and William Smith Colleges. Taylor goes to the Woodlynde School, and Abby is at Shipley.

Our family has been attending St. David’s since 2005.  Based on the ages of our children when we joined, it was natural for my earliest involvement to be helping with behind-the-scenes Youth Choir support, working on the production committees for several youth musicals, and serving for two years on the Family Ministries Commission.  I co-chaired Caring Meals for five years under the Outreach Commission, overseeing a team of volunteers that prepared meals on a rotating basis for parishioners in a time of need.

Soon after joining St. David’s, I wanted to participate in the St. David’s Fair and quickly discovered my passion working with the Auction. Over the course of my nearly nine year run with the Auction Committee (serving as co-chair, then chair for the last five of these years), I had the reward of assembling and leading a dedicated and hardworking team that prepared year-round for Fair Day.  I truly treasure those years, the friendships formed, and the memories made.  I am currently finishing up my last year of a three-year term on the Women’s Fellowship Committee and am also heading a small group charged with planning the next Women’s Retreat.

My husband, Brian, is a long time member of the Adult Choir and participates regularly in the Men’s Bible Study and Men’s Fellowship activities.  We have both grown to love this welcoming and spirit-filled Body of Christ at St. David’s, and I would be honored to spend the next chapter of my life at this wonderful church as a Vestry Representative.

My wife Leslie Roy and I have been members of St. David’s since 1991.  We have three adult daughters who were very active in choir, youth group, summer trips, feeding ministries, Sunday school and plays.  We’re fortunate to raise our daughters in the nurturing St. David’s community.

I’ve worked in the nursery and taught Sunday school at multiple grade school levels, confirmation and currently for the high school level with Mark Lane and Martin Wilson.  When possible, I join our middle school youth group on Tuesday nights.

My other St. David’s activities include:

  • Stewardship committee since 2016.
  • St. David’s IHN board representative
  • Regular IHN overnight volunteer
  • Men’s fellowship and retreats
  • Friday morning bible study
  • Usher captain
  • Ensonga laborer, fabric supplier and freight management

Professionally, I manage major account services and business development for Sedgwick, a leading global provider of technology-enabled risk and benefit solutions, with over 15,000 colleagues in 275 offices located in the U.S., Canada, the U.K. and Ireland.  I’ve been with Sedgwick for 18 years.
