Tom will reflect on his twelve years in the business world when speaking on “Where is God in your Career? Reflections on Career Development and God’s Sense of Humor.”

Before entering seminary, Tom studied Engineering at Cornell and worked for twelve years at the Lincoln Electric Company, a world-wide manufacturer in the welding business. Tom worked with a wide range of clients in his St. Louis sales territory, and later became a Product Manager at the company headquarters in Cleveland. There, he coordinated development, sales and marketing for two families of products, and started preparing for an MBA before heading to seminary in 2001 and ordained ministry in 2004. As the economy shakes up the careers of many, is God at work? And if so, how? Tom will offer reflections from his own experience.
