This is an area to describe the details of the event. Or you could have any information in here really, it just doesn't matter all that much. But the real test of an area like this is how much text it can actually hold. I mean, surely there must be limits. Right? Well if there are we sould probably display a Link Style.

International Outreach

St. David’s is blessed to have three international ministries. Each began through Companion Pennsylvania Diocese relationships, first in Uganda and later in Guatemala and Haiti.  Between these three locations, St. David’s parishioners have built homes, schools, hospitals, and churches that have touched thousands of lives. St. David's supports our international partners in many different ways.

Cuba

St. David’s interest in the Episcopal Church of Cuba began in October 2017 when several parishioners attended a dinner in honor of the Bishop of Cuba at St. Thomas’ Whitemarsh.  It was followed by a pilgrimage to Cuba in February 2018 with three other churches from the Diocese of Pennsylvania (DioPA) to visit with the Bishop and learn more about Cuba and its 46 Episcopal Churches.

St. David's began developing a relationship with Haiti and Reverend Frederic Menelas in 2012. Rev. Menelas is the priest in charge of St. Sacrement Church which is part of the Episcopal diocese. St. Sacrement Church has 250 worshipers and a school that has twelve teachers, two staff, one Headmaster and approximately 180-200 students ranging in age from ages three to eleven, in grades kindergarten to sixth grade. St. Sacrement received a 2013 grant from St. David's in the amount of $3,500 to be used for a project at the church school.

Guatemala

St. David's has been involved in outreach efforts in Guatemala since 1999 as part of the Companion Diocese program of the Diocese of Pennsylvania. During that time we have provided money for education, clean water and building projects, and our parishioners have traveled there as part of mission trips. We began by simply visiting to listen to our Guatemalan companions tell us of their hopes and needs and to share their lives. Later we started sending work groups.

Uganda

Since 1994, St. David's has had a close relationship with the people of Uganda in Africa. Started through a Companion Diocese relationship, St. David's involvement over the years has increased exponentially and now we are the largest supporter of two schools in Uganda. There are several buildings, cows and children that bear the names of our church and our generous parishioners.
