Pastoral Care - Troop Support Ministry
The mission of St. David's Troop Support Ministry is to share Christ's love by providing moral, emotional and spiritual encouragement to service members and their families connected to our parish family.
Letters to Troops
Our troops appreciate and need the emotional comfort that they enjoy from receiving notes, pictures and letters from us. You can address these letters to "Dear Soldier", or, if you want to be more specific, the names of people from St. David’s who are in the military are on the collage in the Chapel Narthex. This is an ongoing ministry. There is a basket in the reception area for your mail. If you have any questions, contact Louise Masterson, lmm124@comcast.net.
Peter S. Browne, USMC sent a reply to St. David's expressing his and his fellow Marines' gratitude for the care that St. David's has shown him. Click here to read his letter.

Blue Star Banner
The blue star banner is hanging in the window of the Chapel Narthex and the Church Vestry room. The Blue Star Banner was designed in 1917 by an Army officer who had two sons serving on the front lines of World War I. This small banner became the unofficial symbol of a child in military service. It carries no political message. We honor the sacrifice of our children in preserving the liberties of our country. We have several “children of St. David’s” serving around the world and honor them with this banner.
