A Family and Faith Fellowship Offering
Sundays, October 9-23
6:00 – 7:30 pm
Do you want to connect your faith with your family? Do you want to grow in grace-filled parenting practices, to support and love your children, raising them to know and love God and others? All parents who have children and teens in their homes are invited to join other parents for 3 weeks of a simple supper and fellowship, conversation, and support, with childcare provided for children up to 5th grade. Local parenting coach and facilitator Lisa Corcoran (Parenting Playbook) will facilitate the conversations and brings wisdom and faith to support parents on their journey to grace-filled parenting. Topics will include The Power of Gratitude: A Counter to Depression and Anxiety; Reflective Listening and Respect; and Raising Resilient Children and Teens; all centered in faith.
Cost is $60 per adult for the 3-week series and includes dinner, childcare, and resource materials.
Nine children, six siblings, and 97 cousins may have had something to do with Lisa’s desire to study parenting. Lisa took a parenting class based on Adlerian (Alfred Adler) theories that proved to be the most humbling experience of her life. She learned that to raise loving, responsible, confident and happy children she would need to start with herself. So Lisa started taking more classes. She started applying the tools and little by little her home became a calmer place to be and her job as a mother didn’t really feel like a job at all. Lisa founded The Parenting Playbook to bring these life-changing tools to more families.
