Walking the Mourner’s Path 2022
November 8 at 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm
An event every week that begins at 5:30 pm on Tuesday, repeating until November 22, 2022
Facilitators: Ginny Kyle and Jeffory Griffin-Grossi
Walking the Mourner’s Path is a unique, Christian program that seeks to help you transform grief into joyful living. This is not a “support group” – although there is plenty of support offered! It is a structured program led by trained facilitators, whose goal is to help you remember your loved one’s life, face and accept the reality of his/her/their death, share the real pain of grief, and learn skills to adapt to your new environment and move forward in your life. There are eight sessions, each of which lasts approximately 90 minutes. It is very important that you are able to attend ALL eight sessions, if possible. The Rev. Thomas Szczerba will be present to provide pastoral care, spiritual direction, and theological reflection in support of the program facilitators.
A contribution of $50 is requested and appreciated to help defray the cost of the Participant Workbook, which you will receive at the first meeting. Paper and pencils will be provided as well for note taking.
Please note: If there is any conflict in your schedule that would not allow you to be present at all eight sessions, please discuss this with one of the facilitators when they contact you.
