The Alpha Course at St. David's

Description: Back by popular demand, St. David’s will be holding an Alpha course beginning in early 2019! For those who have never heard of it, the Alpha course is an evangelistic course which seeks to introduce the basics of the Christian faith through a series of talks and discussions. It is described by its organizers as "an opportunity to explore the meaning of life".

A Multimedia Exhibit

Description: A unique exhibit; a documentary told in photographs and video, opens in the Art Gallery at St. David’s Church, Radnor, February 22. The compelling images are the work of Vincent Dixon, a professional photographer involved with SWIC. In collaboration with The Rev. Christopher Bishop, St. Martin’s Church, Radnor, Stand With Iraqi Christians has been a pursuit of compassion, education and material support for the last four years.  For more information, visit the exhibit between the dates of February 22nd-April 1st.

AGO Noon Organ Recital Series

Description: During the month of March, St. David’s will again be hosting the Philadelphia Chapter of the American Guild of Organists’ Tuesday Noon Organ Recital Series on our beautiful Dobson Chapel organ. This year’s performers are: Hannah Albrecht (3/5),Elaine Sonnenberg Whitelock (3/12), Clair Rozier (3/19) and Parker Kitterman (3/26). A lunch will follow in St. David's Hall.

Worship with Young Families

Description:  Come and join the children of St. David’s Church and St. David’s Episcopal Day School for a service of worship especially designed for young children. It’s highly interactive, with songs, prayers and stories. And there’s a quiet play corner for the youngest children. See you there!

Description: The sessions will provide biographical information about the featured person of the week along with prayerful reflection on selections from their writings. March 10: Julian of Norwich. First Holy Communion Class

Wetlands Work Day

Description: “Enjoy fellowship while doing good for our St. David's campus and the environment! We are in need of volunteers for this year's Wetlands Work Party. We could use people who are willing to pull and cut invasive vines in their dormant state and to set flags to mark roots (dress warmly with gloves and eye protection). At our last work day in February, we removed 30% of the invasive plants, so we could use all the help we could get to pull the remaining 70%!

Breakfast sandwiches, doughnuts, and coffee are served. Men and women of all ages are welcome! Questions? Contact Austin Hepburn at ahepburn@verizon.net.

Women's Appreciation Dinner

Description: “The best $40 date night you’ve ever had.” Join us for a special event provided by the Men to honor the women of St. David's Episcopal Church. A cocktail hour and a five star dinner will be provided. Cost is free for the women of the Church, and only $40.00 for the men. The men will do all of the work, and women can enjoy themselves. It is a great night for all!

Lenten Choral Evensong

Men's Fellowship Breakfast

Description:  “All men of St. David's (and guests!) are invited to join the Men's Fellowship group for their monthly Men's Breakfast. This month we will be hosting Ivan Stolfus, who drove his tractor across the United States to raise money for Wounded Warriors, will recount stories from his journey. The Men's Fellowship will be collecting donations for the Wounded Warriors at this event.A full breakfast is provided.

Maundy Thursday All Night Prayer Vigil Volunteering

Description: The Men's Fellowship is looking for volunteers for the Maundy Thursday Prayer Vigil, April 18th, beginning at 8:00 p.m. in the church. The Vigil is connected to Jesus asking his disciples to keep watch with Him in the Garden of Gethsemane before His death on Good Friday. We invite you to keep watch for one hour through the night. We will have two men keeping watch each hour.
