St. David’s will hold its Annual Meeting on Sunday, May 4 following the 9:15 a.m. worship at approximately 10:30 a.m. The Annual Meeting will be held in the Chapel and livestreamed. Part of the Annual Meeting work is to elect four new Vestry persons to serve supporting the mission and ministry of our church. The Nominating Committee of the Vestry proudly presents the persons below as members of this year’s slate of nominees, to serve a four-year term from June 2025 until May 2029.
Our elections are a slate election, meaning that the vote will be to approve the full slate, or to disapprove the full slate. If you are unable to attend the Annual Meeting in person, there will be a chance to vote online from 6 a.m. on Thursday, April 24th through 3 p.m. on Friday, May 2nd. An email will be sent at 6 a.m. on Thursday, April 24th with the voting link.

Jonathan Addy
Jonathan grew up in the area and attended Saint Joseph’s University. He and his family moved back from New York City in 2021 and began to look for a new church home. After a year of searching, they attended the family service and found a welcoming community here at St. David’s. Jonathan, who was born and raised a Presbyterian, decided to be received into The Episcopal Church in 2024. He actively participates in the Men’s Fellowship, and enjoys helping with the Epiphany Tree Burn, cooking up pancakes and sausage for the Mardi Gras Breakfast and volunteering at the Fair. He and his wife met at their church youth group and are high school sweethearts. He enjoys golf, coaching his daughter’s soccer team, and making pizza and being outdoors with his family. Jonathan is a Partner at KPMG LLP and serves on the board of Well Rooted, a non-profit that supports, nurtures, and empowers young adults and families entering and exiting the foster system. He and his wife, Erin, along with their daughter, Emmerson, and their dog, Tucker, reside in Devon, PA.
Ruth Christner
Ruthy grew up as an Episcopalian in Kenilworth, IL. Her professional background is in clinical nutrition, and she currently works as a nutrition support dietitian in the Medical Respiratory ICU at Temple University Hospital. She and her husband, Gene, raised their three now-adult children, Marie, Stephen, and Brian, in Devon and have been active members of St. David’s for 22 years. Ruthy’s kids sang in the youth choirs, and she has been robing young choristers ever since. Through the years she has been involved in many different programs at St. David’s – most significantly the Pastoral Care Commission, Women’s Bible Study, and the music ministry. She loves making photo buttons at the Fair each year and will tell you that the highlight of her week is handbells practice on Wednesday nights. She feels that St. David’s has been a beacon of light for her family over the years and can see the Holy Spirit at work: in the worship experience, in the enlightening and uplifting sermons, in the outreach that we are able to give as a church, and during the times that our very large church can feel intimate while working and playing together with church members toward a common goal. She is eager to serve the parish to foster the continuation of those blessings.

George (Geordie) Lemmon
Geordie began his faith journey at Gladwyne Presbyterian Church, where his father was a leader and helped appoint long-time minister Howard Friend. Geordie and his wife, Lisa, were married 39 years ago in an Episcopal Church on Long Island, and since then, he has embraced the Episcopal tradition as his own. His family has deep roots at St. David’s which began 25 years ago—each of their three children was confirmed there, and two of their three local grandchildren have been baptized at the church, with the third scheduled for October. Geordie and his family have appreciated the variety of services at St. David’s, and he has participated in several Bible studies over the years. He currently serves on the church’s Human Resources Committee.
Outside the church, Geordie has dedicated much of his time to community service. He has served on several nonprofit boards, including Inglis House (1989–1994), Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (1995–2011), Philadelphia Early Head Start (2009–present, Chairman), and The Haverford School (2013–present, Vice-Chairman). With over 40 years of experience in managing and owning small manufacturing businesses, Geordie brings a practical, mission-driven approach to nonprofit leadership. He believes that “non-profit” is a tax classification—not a management style. Geordie will be honored to support St. David’s and its vibrant community.
Teresa A. Marlino, MD
Teresa and her husband, Joe, have been active members of St. David’s Church, where they raised their four adult children, for 25 years. Teresa recently served on the Discernment Committee and has previously taught Sunday School. She was the co-founder of the prayer shawl ministry, prepared and served meals to the youth choir, and chaperoned numerous youth group mission trips and events. She is on the board of directors for Echoes Around the World as well as the board of directors for Double Cure Hospital in Mpigi, Uganda, working closely with Romans and Dr. Lydia Serunjogi on five medical mission trips. An obstetrician by training, Teresa currently works as an OB hospitalist at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Hazleton, PA and Inspira Health in Mullica Hill, NJ, and teaches the advanced midwifery classes at Double Cure Hospital Nursing and Midwifery School via video conference.
