Mission Philadelphia
June 17-22, 2025
For the second year running, St. David’s is joining forces with Trinity Episcopal Church Solebury to serve in West Philadelphia! Youth and young adults work in Philadelphia’s high need areas to help improve the quality of life for local residents. For the past 27 years, Trinity Solebury, and now St. David’s, has worked side by side with residents to revitalize their neighborhoods by transforming abandoned lots into green spaces and community gardens that inspire and promote positive human interaction. Mission Philadelphia forges relationships with these neighborhoods, working together to break down racial and demographic barriers.
The trip will be June 17-June 22 and is open to all MS and HS students (Rising 6th- graduating 12th grade students). Students will stay at Bryn Mawr College. The cost of the trip is $500, which covers our stay, transportation, all meals, and a few extracurriculars including a trip to see the Phillies.
*There is a $100 scholarship available for students who volunteer at the Mardi Gras pancake breakfast Sunday March 2nd.
**There is a $200 scholarship available for students who volunteer at St. David’s Music Camp AND Vacation Bible School after the service trip (June 23-27).
There are also additional scholarship and fundraising opportunities. Please register by June 7, 2025. You may contact Pastoral Associate, Elliot VanHoy for more details.
