Reflections
Artist Robin Gregory, a St. David’s parishioner, is exhibiting her work from February 2 through March 7.
Robin Gregory studied under Charles Sibley at Old Dominion University and Anne Lott at Tidewater Community College. Over several years, she painted needlepoint canvases for several stores and private clients.
Robin then chose to express her relationship with material objects as an ASID Interior designer, using color, texture, scale, fibers, and existing objects in homes and universities. Her greatest satisfaction came from creating pieces that did not exist in beauty and function.
Upon retirement, Robin longed to return to painting. She investigated local options and found Randall Graham. His unique, purposeful teaching curriculum, along with patience and humor, has encouraged her to paint.
The two most defining descriptions of her work are Nature and Color. She says, “What God has given me is an eye to deeply appreciate and celebrate flowers, sunsets/sunrises, trees, streams…their reflections and relationships to one another continue to inspire me and challenge me to go deeper.”
An artist reception will be held on Saturday, February 7 from 4-6 p.m.
