St. David’s will hold its Annual Meeting on Sunday, May 3 following the 9:15 and 9:30 a.m. worship services at approximately 10:30 a.m. The meeting will be held in the Chapel and livestreamed. During the in-person Annual Meeting, children are welcome to join Maria Leal in the Harrison Room for a Kids Fun Fest! She We will be serving breakfast and having a great time.
At the Annual Meeting we will be reviewing the past calendar and fiscal year at St. David’s (2025) and looking forward to new things in the coming year.
Part of our Annual Meeting work is to elect three new Vestry persons to serve supporting the mission and ministry of our church. The Nominating Committee of the Vestry proudly presents the persons below as members of this year’s slate of nominees, to serve a four-year term from June 2026 until May 2030.
Our elections are a slate election, meaning that the vote will be to approve the full slate, or to disapprove the full slate. If you are unable to attend the Annual Meeting in person, there will be a chance to vote online from 6 a.m. on Thursday, April 23rd through 3 p.m. on Friday, May 1st. An email will be sent at 6 a.m. on Thursday, April 23rd with the voting link.
William Wallace Collins, PE Emeritus, MMT
After infant baptism, William was raised in a military family (Navy brat) and was active in the United Church of Christ. He was later confirmed in 1989 as a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, West Whiteland, PA along with wife, Lacey Anne Collins. He and Lacey have been members here at St. David’s since September 20, 1996 – even though they moved away for work and resided in New Jersey between 1998 and 2005. They have been married 54 years; have no children but are enthusiastic aunt and uncle and enjoy one cat.
William spent forty years in the construction industry. He is a former US Navy Civil Engineering Corps Officer; Professional Civil Engineer; facilities and project manager; CEO multi-billion-dollar roofing products company, and Senior Vice President, Habitat for Humanity, International. His other vocational experiences include start-up business entrepreneur; Operating Partner, private equity firm, and business advisor to early stage, solar energy, building products, and non-profit firms – focused on fund raising, profitability, growth, leadership, and executive coaching. Graduate: US Naval Academy, BS Marine Engineering; MIT, MS Civil and Environmental Engineering; University of Chicago, MBA; Villanova University, MS Cybersecurity. Currently work as volunteer for: St. David’s Friends – a pastoral care ministry; Hospital Chaplain, Mainline Health; and Service Associate, Disaster Spiritual Care, American Red Cross SEPA. Completed Master of Ministry and Theology at Villanova University in December 2024 and will complete CPE Unit 2 this summer at Bryn Mawr Rehab Hospital.
Alison Hastings
Alison Hastings has been a member of St. David’s since 2004 and served on numerous commissions: Family Ministries, Outreach, Finance, Property, SDEDS, and Stewardship, among others. Her last term on the Vestry saw the church through a dramatic season of change. She will return to Vestry bringing with her institutional memory, a clear communication style, and a dedication to action. She has four children, a dog, a rabbit, and a husband and lives in Haverford.
James (Jamie) C. Kelly
Jamie lives in Wayne, Pennsylvania with his wife Susan (Groff), three sons James, George, and Connor, and dog Maeve. Both Jamie and Susan grew up locally, moved for work and school, and returned home. They were married at St. David’s in 2019. All three of their sons currently (or will) attend St. David’s Episcopal Day school and are active in the children’s service and choir.
Jamie is a Senior Director, Wealth Planning Attorney, at Northwestern Mutual where he supports ultra-high-net-worth clients’ tax, business succession, and estate planning needs and is a Director on the Philadelphia Estate Planning Council. Susan is a National Accounts Manager at Boston Beer company. Susan’s oldest brother, Sanford, is the rector at Good Shepherd Episcopal Church in Tequesta, Florida. Her middle brother, Spencer, is a fifth-generation funeral director at Groff Family Funeral and Cremation Services in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Her parents, Nancy and Sandy, are active members of St. David’s through the choir and bible study (among other things).
Jamie holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Pennsylvania, a Juris Doctor and Master of Business Administration from the University of Miami, a Master of Laws in taxation from the University of Florida and is pursuing a master’s in data science from Eastern University. Jamie is a Certified Trust and Financial Advisor, Accredited Estate Professional, and a Certified Financial Planner® professional.
