Intergenerational St. Nicholas Celebration
Where do children learn the magic of the Christmas season and how to be generous people? Why, from St. Nicholas! This popular saint is commonly known in the United States through additional stories and by another name: Santa Claus. You are invited to join us as we celebrate St. Nicholas Day, a time to recognize the generosity, compassion, and faith of St. Nicholas, whose life continues to inspire us to share God’s love with others.
Everyone is invited to gather for hot cocoa, cookies, and fellowship as we celebrate together and continue our Advent journey toward the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ.
Children are invited to leave their shoes outside the door of Harrison Room. Following the tradition of St. Nicholas, they will discover their shoes filled with sweet treats, including clementines and chocolate gold coins—a joyful reminder of God’s abundant blessings and the spirit of generous giving.
Whether this is a treasured family tradition or your first St. Nicholas Day celebration, we hope you will join us for this special time of faith, fun, and community. All are welcome and no registration is required! Bring your family, invite your friends, and come experience the joy and wonder of St. Nicholas Day with your St. David’s church family. We look forward to celebrating with you!
This is the second of our three intergenerational forums during the Advent season.
