Diverse Perspectives

I’m drawn to the way light reveals color, shape, and mood—whether it’s a quiet mountain landscape, a garden path, a flower in bloom, or an everyday object. My goal is not simply to record what I see, but to create a painting that will evoke a sense of peace, curiosity, or connection. I hope each painting encourages viewers to linger and discover something new each time they look. – Pat Policella

Join St. David’s for our next Art Gallery display, “Diverse Perspectives” by Pat Policella.

Pat Policella is a local artist and longtime member of St. David’s Church. She creates oil, acrylic, and watercolor paintings focusing on the beauty of everyday life: from tranquil landscapes and gardens to expressive still-life and figurative subjects. Her work shows an appreciation for composition, color harmony, and expressive brushwork. For Pat, observing shapes, translating nature’s colors onto her palette, and bringing a canvas to life with a brush continues to be a source of enduring inspiration and wonder.

Pat studied oil painting at Fleisher Art Memorial in Philadelphia under the tutelage of Max Gottlie and Marty Jackson, and watercolor at Neuman University. Currently she is exploring the versatility of acrylics, and she associates with a group of artists at ADM Gallery and Studio in Newtown Square under the guidance of Ana McCormack. Pat has exhibited and sold her work privately as well as at several local venues.

A reception with artist meet and greet will be held on Wednesday, September 9 at 6 p.m.
