St. David’s Day and Self-guided Churchyard tour preview

March 1 annually is the Feast of St. David of Wales, the church’s patron saint. The 9:15 a.m. worship service will include readings and musical elements connected to the saint.

Following worship at 10:30 a.m. join us in the Undercroft for Welsh-themed activities, music, and pastries as well as a preview of the self-guided Churchyard tour. Marianne Cook, the head of our Parish History and Archives team, will offer a few remarks and showcase a few of the stops in the new tour, which will open once the snow fully melts. The Churchyard (graveyard) includes several Revolutionary War soldiers, as well as Major General Anthony Wayne. This event is intergenerational – for all ages to enjoy together. There will be no age-divided formation offerings this morning. Bring your household and join us for celebration and fun!

The Churchyard tour (opening soon) is part of St. David’s Celebration of the 250th Anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. Learn more about our other activities here.
